
This is a large size canvas, five feet square. I have drawn squares on it which helped me transfer the image to the canvas. The lines are first drawn in pencil, then gone over with a black marker pen. The sketch taped on the canvas is 8.5 x 11".

I begin by first painting in the orange rectangle, then I add some of the blue areas.

I have to turn the canvas upside down to finish painting the background.

I'll have to pretty much fill in all of the color areas and shapes before I can tell if the colors are working properly together. A large painting like this can take a great deal of time to finish. More on the next post
