MUSE WITH MUSIC
I'm attempting to get even more abstract with these new paintings as I develop this series. It's fun to experiment with design, shapes and color, also a real challenge.
What music is the lady dancing to ? The old Terry Gibbs Dream Band of course !

Nice rhythm in this composition. I thought for sure our lady was dancing to Lionel Hampton, but on closer inspection it is definitely the Terry Gibbs Dream Band.

I often listen to the Terry Gibbs Dream Band, even when painting, his group, to me, was really the best, although a lot of the Kenton stuff was terrific too. I'm talking about music from 50 years ago, but it's still wonderful to listen to.
