I just found this old photo which was taken when I was working as a designer and illustrator at McNamara Brothers Studio in Detroit. The early 1950's was a great time for advertising artists, we all kept very busy. I remember designing five automotive catalogs over a weekend. We worked long hours then and after work could stop down at the Caucus Club where Barbra Streisand was singing.

Great photo. Sounds like it was a great time to be working in Detroit.
Harry,
I remember one tip you wrote in your Drawing In Ink book: put something living in your drawings. Do you remember the playful cat underneath the car?
Photos like this make your blog more interesting. More! Also of Jeanne and Gloria.
